Due to the extreme trauma experienced during the 
death of her mother, Britta's seering abilities have a 
massive block over them so that they are only intuitive
flashes.  She has no real power over it at this time.

Character Bio

parents' names and whether they were muggle or wizarding
folk, and personal story.):

6th year Slytherin


 I was born in Munich, Germany to my father Leslie Eugene Pennick,
a volunteer, and my mother Othilia Sexauer while she was on tour.  Mama
gained a -very- minor amount of fame in her German homeland as a pop singer 
under the name Greta Krause. My parents were never really 
suited and they quarreled, separating when I was 5 and finally
divorcing  six months later. My mother took me home to Germany, 
where she re- started her career as a singer. I accompanied her as I could, 
and sang with her on occasion. I was always good with cooking and
making things to drink, and loved learning new recipes. When I was
8 my mother died of a drug overdose. My father, who still lived in
England, insisted I come to live with him, but I didn't know him 
anymore and things were awkward. Then I turned 11 and I got a
letter from Hogwarts inviting me to attend. I was very floored by 
the whole thing. And my father was actually willing to pay for this
school. He'd been resistant to any other boarding school that I had
presented to him. I jumped at the chance to go. I haven't really felt
like I am particularly excelling at anything, although I really do like 
potions and do quite well at it. I suppose it is because potions is
close to cooking in most ways. I became a total quidditch fanatic,
and tried to leave the rough edges of my childhood behind me. I 
hope to use my  singing. I am making inroads to get a job as a
Potions Assistant/Midwives Assistant after graduation.  I also
work for Harmony Welkins as an assistant while learning Vocal
Magic, a subject I am excelling in it seems. She is teaching me the
advanced portion of the subject while I help her in her first term
of teaching.

As a result of restrictions at the school including a stringent curfew
my friends Bodhi, Kyla and myself invented a charmed parchment
that would record like muggle tape recorders.  Soon we had interest
from the Quik Quotes™ company and we negotiated for a base 
sum to be paid plus a yearly portion of all sales.  This was my first
real payment of any kind.

As of 24 December in my sixth year I am emancipated legally and
no longer have to be in dread of going back to live with my fa...
The Pennick who always treated me cruelly in respect to my
feelings, though not physically.  I have my apparating license.
