Sandra's condition Part 3
Evening all. Ashe here. All is still well. Sandra's off her morphine drip and is eating solid food including a pot roast. She's walking up and down the halls and only in minor discomfort. No ETA on when she's coming home but we expect it'll be tomorrow or Monday since she seems to be doing quite well.

And FYI for those who have been calling, not that you're likely to but I just discovered that you're not allowed to call the room after 9 pm or before 7:30 am. Just a heads up for anyone thinking they'll drop her a line later than 9.

Well, I'm off and hopefully she'll be blogging this herself tomorrow.

Sandra's condition 2: Electric bugaloo
Sandra is doing well today. Lots of liquids, lots of sitting up, lots of walking up and down the hall as her hubby checks out her butt. She's not yet on solid food but prolly will be tomorrow. She's allowed to have soda like 7 up. It hurts to laugh but I defy you to get staples in your tummy and not hurt when you laugh. Come to think of it, I'll be right back.

OW!

Never mind, maybe I won't try it. Staples hurt. Now I know and knowing's half the battle. I apologize for that reckless and cruel GI JOE reference. Any how, my perfect wife is doing well and she appreciates all the well wishes.

Love, Harmony, and cheap novelty sunglasses,

Sandra's condition...
Her condition is just fine. The surgery went perfectly. According to the doctor, it appeared to be "In the early stages of stage one" and he was "pretty sure that was it" but couldn't make any promises until the test results on what they took out came back. The worst case scenario did not unfold. She seemed in good spirits when I left the hospital tonight, she's on morphine and only had minor discomfort. And additionally that glorious light she has in her eyes was coming back quite soon after being out of it. Plus her sense of hunour was also returning. So the drugs didn't keep her in a haze all night. She's on fluids, soup, and jello tonight and will prolly get some solid food tomorrow. All in all, it seems all is going as it should. No worries tonight.

Love,

Ashe, her hubbie

Editor and Agent Targeted!
I stayed up all night and waited, researched and came to a conclusion: I could actually sell to Harlequin.

I usually don't think that about my writing, but Harlequin has changed so very much, and they're such a large publishing house, I can't be in the romance writing business without at least coming close to sending something to them for a look-see.

Today was the day for PRO and PAN status members of RWA® to have an opportunity to get an appointment at conference with an agent or an editor. I made my list out, stayed up all night, and waited like a hawk for the links to the registration online to become available.

I decided to try out an agent named Kim Lionetti of BookEnds, LLC. Something in her face and her bio made me feel at ease and I'm hoping that will carry forward in our pitch session. I've decided that, perhaps, I should mail her when my appointment confirmation comes, to tell her how much I am looking forward to meeting her and thank her in advance for her time.

My first choice for editor was Rose Hilliard of St. Martin's Press, inc. I have this feeling about St. Martin's and Spellbinder that I can't seem to shake. However, her bookings were already full. I will be querying St. Martin's prior to conference, I think.

However, I was able to get an appointment with Kristi Studts of Triskelion. I like their heat ratings, and their disclaimers don't really talk about ages too much so they might like what I have written. I'm hoping so.

Anyway, I have loads of work cut out for me, both getting the house clean enough to not drive me crazy while I recuperate, and in getting the writing going and getting it done before conference.
